About

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”

Nora Ephron, Wellesley College Commencement Speech, 1996

The blog started off as a sandbox during a creative writing course and, over the years, tried to be all things to all people. In the end, during a year of endings, it’s time to take things back to basics. I began blogging by getting given a code to Liverjorunal (remember them?) and loved it. I learned to enjoy writing and learned sometimes I get knocked down by someone’s criticism, usually someone I barely know but took to heart anyway.

The name change symbolized a change happening offline. The purpose remains the same-come down, read, and enjoy. Oh, and comment if you can.

Thanks also for the checklist. As soon as I get home, I will do the things required of the award.

  2. Hi, Fatima! Chris told us he ran into you the other day and also about your blog so I thought I’d drop by to ‘see’ you! We had a fun writer’s group this afternoon and have scheduled the next one for October 28. Hope you can keep the date open so you can join us. It will be great getting to know each other again, It’s been far too long. 🙂
