My Johnny Clegg and Savuka memories play to “Too Early for the Sky.”
Free WP blogging tip — your email is still distributing the entire post, and you can’t recall that. Set up your distribution to send only 3 lines in email or readers and that means that if you change your mind, at least the whole post won’t send to all those people. Settings –> Reading —> For each article in a feed show X summary.
The original text, if I may be permitted to be indiscreet, was succinct and moving.

Thanks for the head’s up. I backed out after wondering if I stepped into someone else’s moment, namely my sister-in-law. I appreciate the feedback. 🙂

Reblogged this on Stacks and Ranges and commented:
Johnny Clegg passed away from Pancreatic Cancer today. I bought the cassette single, yes that was a thing, for the track. I played it on repeat nearly 24 years ago, the day my nephew was born. Clegg wrote this song for one of his children, one of many international hits with Jalukka and Savuka.
I suggest reading this National Public Radio Article (https://www.npr.org/2019/07/16/738065415/johnny-clegg-a-uniting-voice-against-apartheid-dies-at-66) for an overview of his life and music.

oh, that’s a shame. May his memory be for a blessing.
