Music Monday: Wake Me Up (Acoustic Version) by Aloe Blacc

Let me tell a little secret: It’s my birthday this week. It sounds like an attempt for adulation, but it’s the truth. I will wake up one year older and after my last Music Monday post, I wanted an antidote to the sentiments from the previous week.

The post originally had a lyric video for Avicii’s version. (The official one looked like commercial to me.) The headline nearly read ‘Featuring Aloe Blacc.’ He wrote the lyrics and provided the vocals. However, during my digging, I discovered his acoustic version and liked it better than the dance version. I still like the dancey version, and it’s part of my housework mix. (Yes, I have one.) If this year’s birthday had a theme song, it’s this version.
