Just a word of warning. I tried opening the red, full-story, bar and got nowhere. The original source is the New York but even this excerpt from Longreads gives people a glimpse into Carla Hayden and the work she does at the Library Of Congress. (One of the holiest of holies in the library world along with the main branch of The New York Public Library, at least to me.)
I follow her on Twitter and she strikes me as warm, competent, and a passionate advocate of libraries. (She’s worked in public libraries for years.)
Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden is an Obama appointee who embodies the calm, measured wisdom of the 44th President.
